Un cake à l'orange qui a l'air très bon !
Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup butter
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 lemon
- 1 orange
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Zest the orange.
- Using your electric mixer, beat the butter on high until it's fluffy.
- Add in the sugar and continue to mix on high for 2 minutes.
- Add the eggs in one at a time.
- Now blend in that orange zest.
- Now in a separate blow, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Now alternate with adding the dry mixture, then the buttermilk both A LITTLE AT A TIME to the electric mixture until everything is mixed together.
- Spray a bread pan with nonstick cooking spray and pour the dough into the bread pan.
- Cook in an oven that's been preheated to 350° for 45-50 minutes, or until it's done in the center.
- Remove the bread pan from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
- Then remove the bread from the bread pan and cool on the wire rack for an additional 15 minutes.
- To make the glaze, combine 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp orange juice and the powdered sugar together.
- To make the glaze seep down into the bread a lot, you can poke tiny holes with a tooth pick before pouring the glaze on.
